For the first time tonight, I was sitting in my room and the traffic and other noises were low enough that I could hear the actual chime and I have to admit it was pretty damn cool.

Better than my bell gonging experience--I'm in class at 6 pm one night a week. It's a Jesuit school and the church is located right outside our classroom. At 6 pm it must be "Let the newbies learn how to ring the bell" time, because every week it is the biggest, non-sensical, non-rhythmical bell ringing you've ever heard!
I'm all for Big Ben...bring me over to visit you!
